To see Paris and die. RSA Ambassador jumps from 22nd floor of hotel in French capital

The Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa (RSA) to France, 58-year-old Emmanuel Nkosinathi Mthethwa, was found dead in Paris. According to preliminary data, the diplomat probably jumped from the window of the 22nd floor of the Hyatt Hotel on Porte Maillot.

This was reported by the Le Parisien publication.

The body was discovered on Tuesday. The Paris prosecutor's office has opened an investigation, which is being conducted by the Crimes Against the Person Brigade. A special magistrate arrived at the scene of the tragedy.

The Ambassador's disappearance was reported the day before by his wife - she received an alarming message from her husband on Monday evening. His phone was last recorded in the Bois de Boulogne area. The police immediately began a search with dog handlers, suspecting a possible suicide.
