Zelenskyy awards Biletskyi rank of Brigadier General

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has awarded the rank of Brigadier General to the commander of the Third Army Corps of the Operational Command East of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Andrii Biletskyi. This is stated in decree No. 737 dated September 30, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"To award the military rank of Brigadier General to Colonel Andrii Yevhenovych Biletskyi, commander of the Third Army Corps of the Operational Command East of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the decree states.

46-year-old Biletskyi has been the commander of the Third Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since March 2025.

After the start of the russian-Ukrainian war in 2014, Biletskyi became the founder and commander of the Azov battalion, later becoming the leader of the National Corps political party and a member of the Verkhovna Rada of the 8th convocation.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Biletskyi said that in Ukraine too much attention is paid to news about a possible truce instead of bringing it closer on the battlefield.
