The Rolling Stones completes work on new album, but will not release it until 2026

The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood said that the band's new album is ready and will be released next year. This is reported by NME.

"Yes, you will get a new album next year. It is finished," the musician said in a comment to journalists during an autograph session at the London store RS No.9.

This will be the band's 25th studio album. The Stones worked on it with producer Andrew Watt, who has collaborated with Elton John, Lady Gaga and Ed Sheeran. He previously produced the album Hackney Diamonds, which brought the band a Grammy.

Wood also hinted that The Rolling Stones may go on a new tour.

"Yes, we hope to do a few concerts. Hopefully we will be back on stage, but I am still waiting for confirmation," he said.

Keith Richards' son Marlon also spoke about the work on the album earlier. According to him, the band has been recording material in London and is "almost finished" the work. He also suggested that The Stones are planning a European tour, although there is no official confirmation yet.

The Rolling Stones last performed in the UK in 2022 - two concerts in Hyde Park and a show at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool.

It was previously reported that Lady Gaga performed in London with the stars of the TV series Wednesday.
