UK Princess Anne, sister of King Charles, arrived in Kyiv on Tuesday for an unannounced visit and met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska. This was reported by Sky News.

It is reported that Princess Anne's visit to Kyiv was secret and was not announced in advance for security reasons. The publication notes that it took place only two days after a russian aerial bombing in Kyiv killed at least four people, including a 12-year-old girl, and injured at least 70.

"On Tuesday, the King's sister visited the capital city of Kyiv at the request of the Foreign Ministry to show solidarity with children and families facing the horrors of the russian invasion," the statement said.

Buckingham Palace said the purpose of her trip was to draw attention to the traumatizing experiences of children living on the front lines.

As she joined First Lady Olena Zelenska at the children's memorial, Princess Anne left a teddy bear in memory of the children who were killed in the russian attack, saying her daughter Zara Tindall had a similar teddy bear.

In Kyiv, she also met with women police officers and members of the armed forces and visited the Center for the Protection of Children's Rights, where she spoke with families and children who had been returned and reintegrated.

As Ukrainian News Agency earllier reported, King Charles III of Great Britain reaffirmed his support for Ukraine during a state dinner with President of the United States Donald Trump.

Earlier, British Prince Harry arrived in Kyiv on September 12 for an unannounced visit and said that he wanted to do "everything possible" to help rehabilitate thousands of wounded soldiers.
