The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a decision to automate the military registration and deregistration of citizens.
The Ministry of Defense has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Young men who have reached the age of 17 will now be able to register with the military remotely via the Reserve+ mobile application, without a visiting territorial recruitment and social support center and without passing a military-medical commission.
Citizens aged 25-60 who are still not on military registration without legal grounds will be registered automatically.
The procedure for deregistration of Ukrainians who have reached the age limit for being in the reserve will also be automated.
Corresponding amendments have been made to the Procedure for organizing and maintaining military registration of conscripts, persons liable for military service and reservists (resolution No. 1487 of December 30, 2022).
The Ministry of Defense explained the key innovations:
Registration of conscripts
Every year from January 1 to July 31, male citizens of Ukraine who turn 17 this year are registered for the first time with the military, this can be done:
remotely - through the mobile application Reserve+ (electronic account of a conscript, person liable for military service and reservist).
in person - by arriving at the district or city territorial recruitment and social support center with the necessary documents.
Registration is carried out without the obligation to pass or be referred to a military medical commission.
Automatic registration
All male citizens of Ukraine aged 25 to 60 who were not registered wth the military without legal grounds will be registered automatically, this will reduce the number of manual operations and the need to visit territorial recruitment and social support centers.
Automatic deregistration
The procedure for deregistration of citizens who have reached the age limit for being in the reserve will also be automated, in addition, heads of state bodies, local governments, enterprises and institutions are required to make appropriate marks in the lists of personal military registration within 7 days from the moment the employee reaches the age limit.
The Ministry of Defense notes that the automation of military registration is another step towards the creation of a modern electronic territorial recruitment and social support center.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in September the Ministry of Defense reported that in the mobile application Reserve+ it is now possible to pay fines for 9 types of violations of military registration rules.
In August, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that the government has finally normalized the use of the electronic queue service in territorial recruitment and social support centers.
Shmyhal added that at the same time, the Ministry of Defense is working to digitize as many services as possible and is forming the ecosystem of the "Electronic territorial recruitment and social support center", which will operate online.
