Demand for Ukrainian chicken falling - exports down 2.5% to almost 294,000 tons in 8M

In January-August 2025, total exports of poultry meat decreased by 2.5% and amounted to 293,600 tons compared to the same period in 2024.

This is stated in the message of the Union of Poultry Farmers, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In monetary terms, exports in January-August 2025 increased by 13% to USD 716.6 million compared to the same period in 2024.

It is noted that the main buyers of Ukrainian poultry meat in January-August 2025 were the Netherlands (15.9%), Saudi Arabia (14.8%), Slovakia (6.8%) and the United Kingdom (10.6%).

The share of exports from EU countries in total exports was 28.2% (83,100 tons).

In August, poultry meat exports decreased by 3.4% and amounted to 33,000 tons compared to July (34,100 tons), and in monetary terms, exports decreased by 12.4% and amounted to USD 84.4 million in July.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukrainian poultry products gained access to the market of the Sultanate of Oman.
