As of September 23, 2025, agricultural enterprises sowed 11.1% less winter crops, compared to last year (September 25, 2024 1.807 million hectares), namely 1.6 million hectares.
This is stated in a message of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The message states that winter grain crops are already being sown in all regions of Ukraine.
In particular, the following were sown: winter wheat – 672,000 hectares; winter barley – 37,700 hectares; winter rye – 17,700 hectares and winter rapeseed – 872,600 hectares.
Among the leaders in grain crops are the Poltava, Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk Regions. Winter rapeseed was sown most in the Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi and Ternopil Regions.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as of September 15, 2025, Ukrainian farmers had sown 1,053,600 hectares of winter crops.
