President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with US President's Special Envoy Keith Kellogg in New York.
The head of state announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"I informed (Kellogg) about the situation on the front and the results of the counteroffensive operation near Dobropillia and Pokrovsk. We also touched on the development of cooperation between Ukraine and the US, in particular, mutually beneficial agreements on drones and the purchase of American weapons that Ukraine offered to the US," the President said.
Zelenskyy thanked Kellogg for his support and noted the role of US President Donald Trump in efforts to end the war.
Zelenskyy is in the US on a working visit, where he is participating in the UN General Assembly, the summit on the return of Ukrainian children, and the events of the Crimean Platform.
He has about 20 bilateral meetings scheduled.
On September 23, Zelenskyy and Trump will meet in New York on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to advance on the Dobropillia axis.
During the counteroffensive operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 12 a.m. on September 22, a territory of 164.5 sq. km was liberated, and control over seven settlements was restored.
