The United States will help defend Poland or the Baltic states if the aggressor country of russia continues to carry out provocations.
This was stated by US President Donald Trump to journalists, his words are quoted by RBC-Ukraine.
The American leader was asked whether the US would defend Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia if russia continues its provocations.
"I will do it," the US President replied.
He did not specify how the country intends to help its NATO allies.
Trump also commented on one of the latest provocations by russia, which it carried out against Estonia. He said that "we do not like it".
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, last Friday, September 19, three russian MiG-31 fighter jets flew into Estonian airspace. These aircraft may be equipped with Kinzhal missiles.
The fighter jets remained in Estonian airspace for about 12 minutes before NATO raised fighter jets to intercept them.
Also on September 19, Poland said that two russian army fighter jets had flown very close to the Petrobaltic oil and gas platform in the Baltic Sea.
