Draft state budget for 2026 provides for indexation of pensions and increase in minimum wage to UAH 8,647 – Zhelezniak

The draft state budget for 2026 provides for the indexation of pensions and an increase in the minimum wage to UAH 8,647.

Member of Parliament from the Holos faction Yaroslav Zhelezniak has announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The government plans to index pensions for 10.3 million pensioners from March 1, 2026. UAH 251.3 billion is a transfer to the Pension Fund," he wrote.

At the same time, the MP also clarified that the minimum wage from January 1, 2026 is planned to be UAH 8,647.

In addition, he noted that their financing is not provided for in the 2026 budget in the CEC budget.

After the termination or cancellation of martial law in Ukraine, the CEC will submit to the Verkhovna Rada proposals for amendments to the Budget in terms of forecasting expenditures for the preparation and holding of the next elections of the President of Ukraine, Members of Parliament of Ukraine and local elections.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Budget Declaration for 2026-2028 states that the Cabinet of Ministers plans to increase the minimum wage by UAH 688, or 8.6%, to UAH 8,688 from January 2026.
