RF strikes rescuers in Chernihiv Region who were extinguishing fire at critical infrastructure facility

The army of the aggressor state of russia targeted rescuers who were extinguishing a fire at a critical infrastructure facility in the Chernihiv Region. Four firefighters were injured.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU).

Thus, in the Nizhyn district of the Chernihiv Region, a fire broke out at a critical infrastructure facility as a result of an attack by russian drones. After that, the russians struck rescuers who were eliminating the consequences of the previous attack.

According to the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, Nizhyn and the Nizhyn district were under massive attack by enemy drones. A total of five people are in hospitals, four of them are employees of the State Emergency Service. A 59-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Nizhyn district was also injured and hospitalized.

It is noted that critical infrastructure facilities and businesses were under enemy attack in the Nizhyn district.

In total, over the past 24 hours, the enemy shelled the Chernihiv Region 42 times, 81 explosions were recorded. 20 settlements were under attack. In the Novhorod-Siversk district, farm buildings caught fire due to shelling, and in several districts, dry grass caught fire as a result of enemy strikes: a total of almost 10 hectares. The fires were extinguished.
