Restoration work at Trypilska TPP during the year in the Kyiv Region "went to naught" after 19 hits by Shaheds on Trypilska TPP. This was reported by MP of Ukraine from the Servant of the People faction, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Utility Services Serhii Nahorniak on the air of the Kyiv 24 TV channel.
"An example from literally a week ago showed that a fairly large number of Shaheds hit Trypilska TPP. And these are not missiles, these are not ballistics. These were ordinary Iranian-russian Shaheds that arrived in the amount of 19 hits," he said.
He also noted that Ukrainian powr engineeers are preparing for different scenarios and "are doing the things that are possible to do."
"Most importantly, we must realize that any defensive structures, any preparation without a sufficient amount of air defense, is worthless," he noted.
The MP stated that despite everything, the russians will not be able to implement their plan and plunge Ukrainian cities into darkness or freeze them.
"Even at the end of 2025, we are better prepared in the energy sector, despite even the destruction, than we were ready, relatively speaking, in 2022-2023. Therefore, I do not believe that there is a need to panic," Nahorniak noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the army of the aggressor country of russia struck a thermal electricity generation facility in the Kyiv Region. It was subjected to a massive drone attack.
