Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson arrived on an unannounced visit to Odesa and met the sunrise on the Lanzheron beach. Verkhovna Rada member from the European Solidarity faction Oleksii Honcharenko announced this on his Telegram channel on Saturday, September 13, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Boris Johnson arrived in Odesa for the first time and went on a city tour. Honcharenko showed how a politician is lucky on the streets of Odesa. Johnson also managed to meet the dawn in the company of Odesans and piano music.
"Johnson met the dawn together with Odesans. We were at the "Piano Dawn" - a new Odesa tradition: to meet the morning to the music of pianist Ihor Yanchuk right on the Lanzheron beach. The idea arose after the full-scale invasion. Even after shelling and difficult nights, Odesans gather here to meet a new day," wrote Honcharenko.
Now it's not just concerts, but a new symbol of the city.
Johnson also joked about supplying weapons to Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 20, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that he was saddened by the decline in British interest in Ukraine.
