SSU drones hit key russian oil loading hub - sources

This night, drones of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) hit the largest russian oil loading port on the Baltic Sea, which is the final point of the Baltic pipeline system. Primorsk is a key hub for loading the "shadow fleet", with the help of which the russian federation bypasses international sanctions and sells oil on foreign markets. About 60 million tons of oil pass through the port every year, bringing russia about USD 15 billion.

This was reported to the Ukrainian News Agency by sources in the SSU.

As a result of the successful attack by the SSU drones, fires broke out on one of the vessels in the port and at the pumping station, and the shipment of oil was suspended. Estimated daily losses to the russian budget from the suspension of exports could amount to up to USD 41 million. The SSU also hit a number of russian oil pumping stations - NPS-3, NPS Andreapol, and NPS-7. They are key elements of the main pipeline system that supplies crude oil to the Ust-Luga port terminal.

"The SSU was the first to systematically introduce so-called drone sanctions against the russian oil industry. They block the flow of petrodollars to the aggressor's budget. And since the russian economy is based on oil, each such hits affects their ability to fight against our state. These sanctions will last until a just peace comes to Ukraine," an informed source in the SSU noted.
