The aggressor country russia has significantly increased the scale of massive strikes on Ukraine and reduced the interval between them. If in 2022 the average number of drones and missiles during one salvo was a little over a hundred, now it is over 360. The interval between massive attacks has decreased from more than a month to eight days, Defense Express reports, citing data from the CSIS analytical center.
Since the beginning of September, the enemy has already carried out large-scale attacks three times, using more than 500 drones, including long-range Shahed/Geran-2 drones. This month alone, a record launch was recorded - more than 800 drones.
The share of massive attacks in the total number has increased from 4.5% in 2022 to over 13% now.
CSIS notes that the kremlin's use of long-range weapons depends not only on available resources, but also on political processes. Thus, in July, russia released more than 6,000 drones, and in August their number decreased to about 4,000 - this period coincided with the active phase of negotiations, in particular, the meeting of Donald Trump and vladimir putin in Alaska.
At the same time, the decrease in the intensity of shelling is also associated with Ukraine's strikes on factories where the Shaheds and their components are produced.
As a reminder, the aggressor country russia continues to adapt and copy successful Ukrainian technologies, in particular in the field of interceptor drones, Syrskyi said.
