Russia continues the forcible "political education" of Ukrainian youth in the occupied territories. The goal of this is to instill anti-Ukrainian views in children.
This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense on X (Twitter).
Among the organizations that teach Ukrainian children military skills, "poisoning" them with pro-russian and anti-Ukrainian propaganda are the so-called youth organization of the russian Ministry of Defense "Yunarmiya" and the Kremlin organization "Movement of the Firsts".
British military intelligence noted that russian "educational bodies" aim to counteract so-called extremism.
Thus, the 2022 manual of the russian Ministry of Education entitled "Prevention of conflicts, manifestations of extremism and terrorism in a multicultural educational environment" states that the expression "Glory to Ukraine" is a sign of extremism.
Also, since 2022, the russian authorities have been conducting the so-called "University Sessions" program, under which children from the occupied regions of Ukraine are taken to russian universities, where they are provided with a "patriotic education."
As noted in the report, since 2022, about 50,000 Ukrainian children have attended "sessions" at 116 russian universities.
