Poland did not shoot down 2 enemy drones because they "posed no danger"

Two violations of airspace by drones were recorded in Poland on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, September 2-3. The enemy targets were not shot down because they did not pose a danger.

Reuters reported this was by on Thursday, September 4, citing the Polish Armed Forces.

Poland has been on high alert for objects that have been in its airspace since 2022. General Maciej Klisz, Operational Commander of the Armed Forces, said that two objects violated the country's airspace.

"These two violations were under the full control of national forces and units assigned to the state defence system," Klisz said.

His words were supplemented by General Wieslaw Kukula, Chief of the General Staff, who emphasized that the drones left Polish airspace "without causing any damage." However, the Polish army did not report where exactly the drones flew into Polish airspace.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 2, former Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was allegedly trying to pressure Poland to drag it and the NATO bloc into an open war with the aggressor country russia.

Recall, on the night of August 25-26, 2024, a russian kamikaze drone flew into Polish airspace.
