Russians in civilian clothes "infiltrate" Kupyansk to shoot staged videos - North OSTG

Russians change into civilian clothes and "infiltrate" the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv Region to shoot staged photos and videos. These materials are then distributed on "public" sites and russian TV channels.

This was announced by the spokesman for the North Operational and Strategic Troops Group (OSTG), Colonel Oleh Sushynskyi, on the air of a telethon.

"We need to understand that when the enemy does not have significant successes, but the russians need to show a good picture, they do it. These fake russian information campaigns. For example, enemy infantrymen change into civilian uniforms, try to infiltrate the city itself to take photos or shoot a video with the russian flag there. Or, for example, somewhere in basements without lighting, they stage a production about our alleged captured soldiers," he said.

The spokesman explained that these productions then end up in "public places" and on TV screens in russia.

"We need to understand that enemy propaganda is also an integral part of this aggressive war of russia against Ukraine," Sushynskyi stressed.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier the Defense Intelligence said that russian propaganda is actively using a new tactic to spread disinformation - staged "captures" of settlements.
