Lviv plant "Electronmash" launches mass production of new electric bus

The Lviv plant "Electronmash" today introduced a new model of the electric bus Electron E181 and announced the launch of mass production of a new electric bus.

The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development, coordinator of the "Made in Ukraine" policy in the Parliament Dmytro Kysylevskyi, announced this on his Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The report says that the main feature of the model is a compact length of 10.2 meters. The electric bus can accommodate 90 passengers and has 30 seats.

In particular, 1 seat for a passenger in a wheelchair.

One battery charge is enough for 300-350 kilometers.

Battery charging takes up to 5 hours.

The electric bus can operate in recuperation mode, that is, during braking, partial return of electricity to the batteries occurs.

The level of localization of the new model is over 40%.

It is noted that not only the concern's enterprises in Lviv, but also more than 250 Ukrainian suppliers of components and spare parts located in all regions of the country received work.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in January-June 2025, 624 buses and minibuses worth USD 31.3 million were imported to Ukraine.

The state policy "Made in Ukraine", initiated by the President of Ukraine, aims to attract investments for the development of Ukrainian manufacturers, increase the production of products with high added value and stimulate demand for Ukrainian goods.

The Electronmash plant is a subsidiary of PJSC "Concern-Electron", founded in April 2012, specializing in the production of off-road all-wheel drive special vehicles Electron - multifunctional vehicles for municipal services and ambulances.
