The Verkhovna Rada has adopted bill No. 11387, which provides for administrative liability for government officials and other officials for ignoring parliamentary summons without good reason.
Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a member of the Rada from the Holos faction, reported this on his Telegram channel.
"The Rada adopted #11387 in its entirety. It adopted my amendments (I thank the Committee for its constructive position), which establish administrative liability for failure to appear before the Parliament when summoned by all persons (and especially government officials) without good reason. FOR — 229," Zhelezniak wrote.
The law aims to strengthen parliamentary control and discipline among government officials who are obliged to appear before the Rada at the request of parliamentarians.
As a reminder, the Rada voted in the first reading on draft law #10225-d on the legalization of the virtual assets (cryptocurrencies) market in Ukraine and the definition of the rules for their taxation.
