The Verkhovna Rada has supported the booking for 45 days of military-liable employees of defense industry enterprises who do not have or have improperly issued military registration documents, are not on military registration, or have not specified personal data.
Verkhovna Rada member from European Solidarity faction Oleksii Honcharenko announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The Rada adopted a bill in the first reading that gives critical enterprises the right to book people with improperly issued registration documents for 45 days," he said.
Thus, 283 parliamentarians voted for the relevant bill No. 13335 in the first reading, with the minimum required 226.
In turn, the director of the Ukrainian Defense Industry (Ukroboronprom) joint-stock company Herman Smetanin welcomed the support of the Rada for this bill on the Telegram channel.
He noted that the bill makes it possible to reserve new employees of defense industry enterprises for 45 days so that they can update their data in territorial recruitment and social support centers, this decision will allow officially hiring a person and giving them the opportunity to resolve issues with documents, such an opportunity is provided once a year for one person, and if the conditions for the booking are not met, the booking is terminated.
Smetanin noted that the defense industry of Ukraine continues to develop, currently more than 1,400 vacancies are open at Ukroboronprom enterprises, and the adoption of the bill will allow to fill the personnel reserve of the defense industry faster, including by attracting Ukrainians who have gone abroad.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in May, the Cabinet of Ministers allowed booking 100% of employees of enterprises critical to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
