On the night of September 3, the russian army attacked an infrastructure facility in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region, as a result of which a large-scale fire broke out on a total area of 9,000 sq.m. The mayor of Kalush, Andrii Naida, and the head of the Regional Military Administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk, reported this on Telegram channels.
According to the State Emergency Service, a fire broke out in warehouses in 3 cells on a total area of about 9,000 sq.m. Rescuers localized the fire, as of this morning the liquidation is ongoing. 130 emergency workers and 35 units of State Emergency Service equipment are working at the site. The head of Kalush, Naida, says that in Kalush, children are advised not to go to schools and kindergartens in the morning before the meeting of the State Commission for Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies.
"We are conducting some air measurements, there is no serious damage to residential buildings," he noted.
Naida urges residents of the community to wait for official information and follow safety recommendations.
The head of the Regional Military Administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk, also spoke about the consequences of the attack.
"This night, the region was subjected to a combined enemy attack! Air defense forces were working. The target was an infrastructure facility," she said.
There were no casualties.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russia carried out a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine at night, Poland put its air defense on combat readiness.
The consequences of the drone attack on the Kirovohrad Region were also reported: five wounded in Znamianka, the railway was damaged, and a number of trains were delayed.
