In Sumy Region, city of Shostka and Shostka district cut off from electricity due to russian strike

Due to a drone attack by russian occupiers on critical infrastructure in the Sumy Region, the city of Shostka and the Shostka district were cut off from electricity. Sumyoblenergo reported this on Telegram.

"Dear electricity consumers! This morning, as a result of a drone attack by the russian army on critical infrastructure in the Sumy Region, the city of Shostka and the Shostka district were cut off from electricity," the message says.

Experts also report that work to restore electricity supply is already underway.

"The interruption in electricity distribution is temporary. Power engineers are working to restore electricity supply," Sumyoblenergo says.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, evacuations continue in the Sumy Region - as of August 26, 47 residents of the border communities of the Sumy Region left the border communities in a week, including 9 children.

On the night of August 25, russian occupiers attacked the Sumy community. In the Pischanskyi district, a street was almost completely destroyed, 5 people were injured.

On the night of August 18, russian occupiers hit Sumy with a ballistic missile and damaged the windows, facade and doors of one of the buildings of an educational institution.
