After the murder of the Verkhovna Rada member from the European Solidarity party, former speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy, according to the party's lists, a military serviceman, former MP Tetiana Chornovol, will enter the Verkhovna Rada. According to the party's electoral list, Chornovol is the next candidate for MP, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Parubiy was elected as a member of the Verkhovna Rada in the extraordinary elections of MPs of the Verkhovna Rada on July 21, 2019 in the nationwide multi-mandate electoral district from the European Solidarity party, he was included in the electoral list under No. 2.
In March 2023, the Central Election Commission recognized Iryna Nikorak as an elected MP of the Verkhovna Rada from the European Solidarity party instead of Mykhailo Zabrodskyi, who resigned, she was the next candidate in line to be included in the electoral list of the European Solidarity party under No. 26.
Under No. 27, the electoral list of the European Solidarity party includes journalist, public figure, former MP of the Verkhovna Rada from the People's Front party, 46-year-old Tetiana Chornovol.

Since February 24, 2022, Chornovol has been fighting on the front line as part of the 72nd Special Motorized Rifle Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhtsi. Since 2023, she has been commanding the Stuhna-P anti-tank missile system as part of the 1st separate special forces brigade named after Ivan Bohun, and holds the military rank of junior lieutenant.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 30, an unknown person killed MP and former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy in Lviv. He fired about 8 shots from a short-barreled firearm, as a result of which the victim died on the spot.
On August 31, the suspect's whereabouts were established, and he was detained in the Khmelnytskyi Region.
