The UAE, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Switzerland are ready to become a platform for possible negotiations on ending the war with the aggressor country russia. The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in an evening address on Saturday, August 30.
"I had a report from Rustem Umerov. He returned after meetings in Turkey, in the Emirates. There were also meetings in Saudi Arabia and Qatar. We are also working with Switzerland. Each of these countries is ready to be a platform for negotiations on ending the war. I thank them for that," the head of state said.
Zelenskyy also added that he is waiting for a report from the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, after meetings in the United States. He spoke with White House Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
"We are preparing for meetings in Europe in a week. We are doing everything to ensure a tough reaction to Russia's actions," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the russian massive shelling on the night of August 30 and called on the world to take "real action."
