On the night of August 30, russia struck Ukraine with strike UAVs, air-, ground- and sea-based missiles. The air defense neutralized 548 of the enemy's 582 air attack means, but there are also hits and fallen debris.
This is indicated in a statement of the command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
It is noted that since 7 p.m. on Friday, the enemy had launched:
- 537 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Oryol, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - the russian federation.
- 8 Iskander-M / KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Rostov Oblast, Krasnodar Krai - the russian federation.
- 37 air-, ground- and sea-based cruise/air missiles: Kh-101, Kalibr, Iskander-K, Kh-59 (launch areas from the Saratov Oblast - russia, Black Sea waters and TOT of the Zaporizhzhia Region).
According to preliminary data, as of Saturday morning, August 30, air defense systems shot down/suppressed 548 air targets:
- 510 enemy Shahed-type UAVs and various types of simulator drones;
- 6 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles;
- 32 Kh-101, Kalibr, Iskander-K, Kh-59 cruise/air missiles.
5 missiles and 24 strike drones were recorded hitting 7 locations, and downed drones (fragments) fell at 21 locations.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as a result of the massive russian attack on the night of August 30 in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro, civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed and casualties were reported.
