In the first half of 2025, landowners and lessees of land plots paid UAH 21.28 billion in land payments to local budgets, which is almost 15%, or UAH 2.75 billion more than in the corresponding period last year.
This is stated in a message from the Tax Service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The leaders in tax payments are:
Dnipropetrovsk Region - UAH 3.78 billion,
Kyiv - UAH 3.16 billion,
Odesa Region - UAH 1.89 billion,
Lviv Region - UAH 1.47 billion.
Land payment is a mandatory payment as part of property tax.
It includes land tax or rent for land plots of state and municipal property.
Landowners and land users pay land fees from the date of origin (state registration) of the right of ownership or the right to use the land plot.
In the event of termination of the right of ownership or the right to use the land plot, the land fee is paid for the actual period of ownership or use of the land in the current year.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January-June 2025, the gambling business paid UAH 9.6 billion in taxes, which is 14.7% more compared to the same period last year.
