Zelenskyy instructs to respond to Hungary's sanctions against "Madyar"

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to respond to the sanctions that Hungary imposed on the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi.

The head of state reported this on his official Telegram account.

"If Hungary really closed the entry to Hungary and the entire Schengen zone to one of the military commanders, who is an ethnic Hungarian and a citizen of Ukraine, then this can only cause indignation," Zelenskyy wrote.

According to him, now there is clearly another attempt by Hungarian officials to put black and white and shift the blame for the ongoing war onto Ukraine.

Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has positively received all proposals for a ceasefire and real diplomacy. The aggressor country, russia, is the only one who rejected them. At the same time, Hungary has not yet demonstrated a fair reaction to such behavior by moscow.

"There is not even sympathy for the deaths of our people: just this one night and in Kyiv alone, Russian drones and missiles took the lives of 17 people, including four children," the head of state emphasized.

He added that Hungarian officials have gone so far as to try to discriminate against representatives of the Hungarian community in Ukraine for their participation in the defense of our state and people.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, today, August 28, Hungary announced the imposition of sanctions against Robert Brovdi, commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces.

Budapest stated that this decision is related to several recent attacks by Ukraine on the Druzhba oil pipeline, through which Hungary and Slovakia receive oil from russia.

We remind you that today "Madyar" harshly responded to the Hungarian Foreign Minister, who announced the imposition of sanctions.
