The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine hit a small missile ship of the aggressor state of russia of the project 21631 "Buyan-M", a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles in the Sea of Azov. This is stated in the message of the Defense Intelligence on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"On August 28, 2025, as a result of a joint operation of the Active Actions Department of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the special unit of the Defense Intelligence "Prymary" in the Sea of Azov near the temporarily occupied Crimea, a small missile ship of the aggressor state of russia of the project 21631 "Buyan-M" - a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles was hit," the message says.
Fighters of the Defense Intelligence's special unit "Prymary" damaged the ship's radar with an air drone strike, and special forces of the Defense Intelligence's Active Actions Department attacked the side of the Kalibr carrier.
As a result of the strikes, the russian missile ship, which was in the area of a potential launch of Kalibrs in Temryutskaya Bay, was damaged and was forced to leave the combat duty area.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of August 28, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a number of important objects of the russian aggressor, in particular, they attacked the Afipsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar Krai and the Kuibyshev oil refinery in the Samara Oblast.
