On the night of August 24, Ukrainian forces struck the Syzran oil refinery in the Samara Oblast of russia, which was supplying fuel to the occupation forces.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the operation.
It is specified that the strike was carried out by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces in cooperation with the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense and other units of the Defense Forces.

According to the General Staff, the Syzran oil refinery has a design capacity of up to 8.5 million tons of oil per year, which is about 3% of the total volume of oil refining in russia. The enterprise produces gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation kerosene and other petroleum products, which were supplied to units of the russian army.
Explosions and detonations were recorded on the territory of the plant. The consequences of the operation are being clarified.
This is the fourth hit on this refinery since the beginning of this year.
Recall, according to media reports, on the night of August 24, Ukrainian long-range drones of the SSU and Special Operations Forces hit the production facilities of the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad Oblast of the russian federation. The strike hit the gas processing complex of Novatek, russia's largest producer of liquefied gas. The strike hit a key cryogenic fractionation unit. This is the second attack by SSU drones on Ust-Luga in 2025 - the first was in January.
