Woody Allen to take part in Moscow Film Week

Scandalous American film director and screenwriter Woody Allen will be one of the participants in Moscow Film Week, which will be held on August 24-25. The meeting with Allen will take place online: the director will speak via video link on August 24 at 5:00 pm Moscow time.

This was reported on the festival website.

The organizers promise that during the lecture-conversation, Allen will share his thoughts on cinema and life, inspiration, choice and honesty in the profession. According to them, participants will be able to "peek into the director's inner world" and learn how stories are born that remain in culture for decades.

Woody Allen is a cult figure in world cinema, a four-time Oscar winner, the author of more than 50 films, including "Midnight in Paris", "Annie Hall" and "Manhattan". At the same time, due to numerous scandals, Allen is avoided in the United States. After the #MeToo movement, the attitude towards Allen in Hollywood became even more critical, and a number of famous actors publicly expressed regret about working with him.
