Ukrainian installation "Black Cloud" lasted one day at Burning Man and was destroyed by storm

The Ukrainian art installation "Black Cloud", presented at the Burning Man festival in the USA, lasted only one day and was destroyed by a sandstorm.

This was reported by the founder of the Ukrainian Witness project, Vitaliy Deynega.

The installation of the object lasted all night, after which it was fixed on anchor supports, ballast, electricity and lighting were installed. The installation aroused considerable interest among the festival participants.

"It was supposed to be a success no less than our work last year - I'm Fine. But then there was an apocalypse..." the post says.

On the evening of August 23, a sudden storm swept through the area.

According to the organizers, the structure withstood strong winds for the first 15 minutes, after which it was damaged and finally destroyed. The team tried to save both the facility and the camp, but weather conditions made it impossible.

Despite the destruction, the project's creators plan to save "Black Cloud" for an upcoming European tour, where locations and dates have already been confirmed.

"Despite the fact that on paper and according to calculations it was supposed to withstand even such a storm, it turned out differently. It held the wind for the first 15 minutes, and then it was torn in the middle, the storm flew into it and completely destroyed it," said the project's producer.

"Black Cloud" was equipped with speakers through which "thunder" could be heard and was supposed to address threats that people prefer not to see. Including war.

The sign in front of the installation read: "This installation arrived here from the capital of Ukraine.

The "thunder" you hear is the real sounds of war: artillery, drones, bombs and missiles. The smell you smell is gunpowder and burning rubber. The cloud is the personification of the threats that we prefer not to see, blindly believing that someone else will save the world around us from decay. We want to tell you only one thing: Get ready! Before it's too late to stop this evil and prevent it from spreading like a cancerous tumor and destroying the world as we know it."

Recall that in June this year, "Black Cloud" was exhibited on Sofiyska Square in Kyiv.
