A russian who illegally crossed the country's border was detained in Norway. It turned out that he was a soldier.

According to the russian's lawyer, the man who was detained in the border village of Grense Jakobselv is a russian soldier who was in Ukraine.
"(He, - ed.) decided that he no longer wanted to take part in further wars. He made the choice to go to Norway," the fugitive's lawyer said.
According to him, to do this, the russian "used the means of communication in a certain place" and then continued his journey on foot.
The lawyer says that it was "considerations of conscience" that forced the russian to make such a decision.
The soldier was spotted crossing the border by border guards and notified the police. The man is accused of crossing the border outside the approved border crossing point.
