As a result of enemy shelling in the Donetsk Region, a gas distribution station was damaged in the city of Kostiantynivka, the city was left without gas supply and its restoration is impossible. This was reported by the chairman of the board of JSC Donetskoblgas Vadym Batiy, the press service of Donetskoblgas reports.
"As a result of enemy shelling in the city of Kostiantynivka, a gas distribution station belonging to LLC Operator of Gas Transportation Systems of Ukraine was damaged. Due to numerous damages, the working pressure in the gas supply system of Kostiantynivka could not be maintained, which led to the cessation of gas distribution to consumers of the city," Donetskoblgas reports.
It is also reported that, taking into account the security situation in the city, the impossibility of the emergency service to respond in a timely manner to localize and eliminate emergencies, the shortage of personnel and the lack of safety guarantees for the department's employees when performing work, further work on restoring gas supply in the city of Kostiantynivka is not possible.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, over the three weeks of August, 1,350 children were taken out of settlements in the Donetsk Region, where forced evacuation of families with children was announced. Moreover, 894 of these children were evacuated over the last week, from August 13 to 20.
Earlier, russian terrorist troops shelled Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Region, with Smerch MLRS, as a result of which three people were killed and four more were injured.
