Trump says he plans to go on patrol with police in Washington

President Donald Trump, during a visit to law enforcement in Washington, said that he was ready to personally join patrols with police and military personnel.

This is reported by the Washington Post.

"I will go out tonight with the police and military, of course," Trump told conservative host Todd Starnes.

This statement was made after the US President's speech at the Park Police base in southeastern Washington, where Trump thanked more than 300 representatives of federal and local law enforcement agencies and again promised to make the capital "absolutely safe." He emphasized that he plans to apply similar steps in other cities where Democrats are in power.

However, instead of a patrol, the President returned to the White House. Meanwhile, protesters with pots and spoons were waiting for him on the streets of the capital, ready to express their dissatisfaction with increased federal control.

US President Donald Trump has said he intends to evict homeless people from Washington and imprison offenders, even though the capital is not experiencing a spike in crime.
