The Interpipe pipe and wheel holding company has shipped almost 250 tons of seamless pipes to a Spanish client for the construction of an offshore wind farm in the English Channel, near the communes of Le Tréport and Dieppe (Normandy, France).
UAProm reports this with reference to the company's press service.
It is noted that the pipe products serve as the basis for boat mooring platforms on each of the 62 wind turbines.
Therefore, the order included a wide range of pipe sizes, from 101.6 mm to 419.1 mm in diameter.
Construction of this wind farm began in January 2024, and completion is scheduled for the end of 2026.
Once commissioned, it will supply green electricity to over 850,000 people.

Interpipe Pipe Sales Manager Jorge Ruiz said that the company already has several completed deliveries for geothermal and wind power plants in its portfolio.
Harsh operating conditions, such as seawater in this case, always require products with improved performance characteristics.
The company emphasizes that seamless pipes made of E355+N/S355NH steel, manufactured according to EN 10297/EN 10210 standards, meet all additional customer requirements for mechanical properties and chemical composition.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in February, Interpipe shipped 10,000 railway wheels for the Indian state-owned enterprise Indian Railways, which operates the entire railway network in India.
Interpipe is the largest manufacturer of pipes and wheels in Ukraine, controlling the Nyzhniodniprovskyi Pipe Rolling Plant, Novomoskovsk Pipe Plant and Nikopol Seamless Pipe Plant Niko Tube (all in the Dnipropetrovsk Region).
In October 2012, Interpipe put into operation the steelmaking complex Interpipe Steel.
The owner of Interpipe is businessman Viktor Pinchuk.
