"As part of reducing the enemy's offensive potential and complicating the supply of fuel to the military units of the occupiers, on the night of August 21, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, hit the Novoshakhtinsky Oil Products Plant (Rostov Oblast of the Russian Federation)," the message says.
The General Staff emphasized that it is one of the largest suppliers of petroleum products in the south of the russian federation and participates in supplying the armed forces of the russian federation. The total volume of the tanks is over 210,000 cubic meters.
Numerous explosions were recorded - the target was hit.
Also, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit a UAV warehouse and a logistics hub in the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk, Donetsk Region. The goal was to reduce the enemy's capabilities to use long-range UAVs. The damage and numerous explosions in the area of the facility were confirmed.
In addition, a hit was recorded in the area of the fuel and lubricants base of the russian occupiers in the Voronezh Oblast of the russian federation. The results of the fire damage are being clarified.
"The defense forces continue to take measures to undermine the offensive potential of the Russian invaders and force the Russian Federation to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine," the General Staff added.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, meanwhile, the Volgograd oil refinery, owned by the russian company Lukoil, suspended operations after a series of drone strikes in August.
