Ukrposhta suspends operations of branches in Kostiantynivka – Smilianskyi

Today, August 20, JSC Ukrposhta suspended operations of its branches in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Region.

The company's CEO Ihor Smilianskyi announced this on his Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"It has become too dangerous to continue work, and saving the lives of employees and customers has outweighed the desire to support those who still remain in the city," Smilianskyi writes.

The report states that Ukrposhta maintains operations in neighboring settlements located 5-7 km from Kostiantynivka, namely in Druzhkivka and Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka.

Branches in Dobropillia are also still operating, although many nearby have already closed (almost all).

Smilianskyi thanked Ukrposhta employees, the military-civil administration, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their support.

He expressed hope that at the first opportunity, Ukrposhta will return and reopen its doors in Kostiantynivka.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, at the end of April, Ukrposhta temporarily closed its branch in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Region, in areas under shelling or affected by russian aggression.
