Card-to-card transfers in H1, 2025 accounted for 7.6% in number and 27.4% in amount of total number of transactions

Card-to-card transfers in the 1st half of the year accounted for 7.6% in number and 27.4% in amount of the total number of transactions.

This is evidenced by data from the National Bank of Ukraine, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The share of non-cash transactions in the first half of 2025 in amount was 65.3% of the total amount of transactions with payment cards, in number - 95.3% (in the first half of 2024 - 64.5% and 94.6%, respectively).

An analysis of the distribution of non-cash transactions by type shows that in the first half of this year, the largest number and amount of transactions using payment cards accounted for payments in retail and service networks - 73.9% and 49.9%, respectively.

Card-to-card transfers in the first half of 2025 accounted for less than a tenth in number (7.6%) and less than a third in amount (27.4%). Payment for goods and services on the Internet - 16.1% in amount and 13.8% in number.

During January-July, the average amount of one transaction was:

- in retail and service networks – UAH 342 (in the first half of 2024 – UAH 321),

- transfer "from card to card" – UAH 1,835 (UAH 1,936),

- payment for goods and services on the Internet – UAH 589 (UAH 543).

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, from June 1, 2025, new restrictions on card money transfers came into force in Ukraine.

For medium and low-risk clients, the monthly limit has been reduced from UAH 150,000 to UAH 100,000 per month.

High-risk clients can transfer up to UAH 50,000 per month, the limit does not change.
