US President Donald Trump said that the possible deployment of troops from European NATO member states on the territory of Ukraine would not be a problem for russian president vladimir putin.
He said this on the Fox News channel.
The journalist drew Trump's attention to the fact that moscow is categorically against Ukraine's accession to NATO, and asked how this fits with the plans of European allies to consider the option of sending their troops to Ukraine within the framework of potential security guarantees.
The American president replied that Ukraine's membership in NATO is absolutely unacceptable for the kremlin.
In his opinion, russia may instead agree to the fact that European states will independently deploy their troops in Ukraine.
He explained that, in his opinion, "Putin is tired of it" and "they're all tired of it."
Recall, Trump called Ukraine's accession to NATO and the return of Crimea "impossible."
