During the public presentation of the Government's program, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal named security and defense issues as the main priorities. "At least 50% of funds for armaments should go to Ukrainian manufacturers. The Ministry of Defense stimulates the development of production and implements the Build with Ukraine and Build in Ukraine mechanisms, the "Danish model". The launch of "Defence City" - an ecosystem to support critically important defense industry manufacturers is being prepared," the Minister of Defense noted.
Denys Shmyhal emphasized the need to strengthen international support, including through interaction with partners through new PURL and SAFE tools. In particular, 18 countries have already joined the SAFE initiative for EUR 150 billion, which will be able to participate in weapons procurement projects together with Ukraine.
"We are changing approaches to management, developing innovations, and strengthening interaction with partners for a secure and peaceful future," the Minister of Defense of Ukraine summarized.
