In July, volume of bank loans to economy up 2% to record-breaking UAH 1,235 billion

According to the operational data of the National Bank of Ukraine, the volume of loans issued by commercial banks to the corporate sector and individuals increased by 2% to UAH 1,235.201 billion in July.

This is stated in the message of the National Bank, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Since the beginning of the year, the volume of loans in the economy has increased by 11.6% from UAH 1,106.8 billion.

The volume of hryvnia loans to legal entities in the reporting month increased by 2.5% to UAH 656.777 billion.

The volume of loans issued to businesses in foreign currency increased by 0.2% to UAH 252.522 billion.

The volume of loans issued to the population increased by 2.7% to UAH 316.111 billion during the reporting period.

Interest rates in July on hryvnia loans for businesses increased by 1.4 pp to 16.9%, and for the population increased by 0.3 pp to 36.2%.

Rates for foreign currency loans for businesses were 5.9%.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2024, the volume of loans in the economy increased by 10.9% from UAH 997.877 billion.

In 2023, the volume of loans in the economy decreased by 1% from UAH 1,007.648 billion.

In 2022, the volume of loans in the economy decreased by 3.5% from UAH 1,044.049 billion.

In 2021, the volume of loans in the economy increased by 10% from UAH 948.386 billion to UAH 1,043.694 billion.
