President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the successes of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Pokrovsk Axis. Zelenskyy announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The front, in particular the Pokrovsk Axis. We are countering the attempts of russian forces to gain a foothold and are increasing the pressure of our units on the occupier. We are making progress. The units of the 79th and 82nd airborne assault brigades are operating very effectively in the Dobropillia Axis. Today, there is a decision to additionally strengthen this and other directions in the Donetsk Region. Special attention is paid to positions in the Zaporizhzhia Region," he said.
Zelenskyy noted that the russian army continues to suffer significant losses, trying to secure more favorable political positions for its leadership at the meeting in Alaska.
"We understand this plan, we inform partners about the real situation," he noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Azov corps was transferred to the Pokrovsk Axis, where the critical situation had developed.
On August 11, the Ukrainian DeepState project stated that the russians had advanced near three settlements in the Donetsk Region, while analysts claimed that in the Dobropillia area the russians had managed to advance 10 kilometers and approach a new line of defense.
