Pension Fund has UAH 51.3 billion in debt to military pensioners for pension payments under court decisions. This was reported by Danylo Hetmantsev, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People faction, chairman of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"As of July 1, 2025, the Pension Fund has UAH 51.3 billion in debt to military pensioners for accrued pensions under court decisions for the past. This amount is comparable to all income for mandatory state pension insurance for July 2025 (according to PF data, the Social Security and other payments amounted to UAH 52.5 billion)," he said.
At the same time, the MP noted that there is no debt on the payment of assigned current pensions for this category of pensioners.
Hetmantsev noted that finding the necessary resources to pay off the debt will be difficult, but it can be done, in particular by de-shadowing and reducing spending on ineffective programs.
According to him, budget losses from the shadow economy reach UAH 900 billion every year.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure that establishes how pensions and additional payments assigned by court decisions will be paid from the Pension Fund budget.
The new Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity Denys Uliutin stated that the Pension Fund needs new approaches to regulating its activities and structuring the budget.
