In July, the monetary base, which includes cash in circulation outside banks, as well as bank reserve money and other money, according to the National Bank's operational data, grew by 2.1% to UAH 1,121.468 billion.
This is evidenced by data from the National Bank, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Since the beginning of the year, the monetary base has grown by 6.6% from UAH 1,052.113 billion.
The money supply in July increased by 0.4% to UAH 3,607.543 billion, and since the beginning of the year it has grown by 3.4% from UAH 3,488.377 billion.
The volume of cash in circulation, according to the latest data from the NBU, increased by 1.3% in July to UAH 816.312 billion, and since the beginning of the year it has grown by 7.4% from UAH 759.753 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2024, the monetary base grew by 7.7% from UAH 976.940 billion.
In 2023, the monetary base grew by 23.3% from UAH 792.537 billion.
In 2022, the monetary base grew by 19.6% from UAH 662.499 billion.
In 2021, the monetary base grew by 11.2% from UAH 595.993 billion to UAH 662.499 billion.
