The portfolio of domestic government loan bonds owned by Ukrainian citizens reached UAH 100.2 billion, setting a new record in terms of investment volume.
This is announced in a statement by the Ministry of Finance, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Over the year, the volume of investments by individuals increased by over UAH 34.7 billion, or almost 53%.
Distribution of bonds by currency owned by citizens:
- domestic government loan bonds denominated in hryvnias - UAH 55.15 billion (55.03%);
- domestic government loan bonds denominated in US dollars - UAH 40.31 billion in equivalent (40.23%);
- domestic government loan bonds denominated in euros - UAH 4.74 billion in equivalent (4.73%);
Before the start of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the volume of government bonds of individuals was four times smaller - UAH 25.1 billion.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in July of this year, UAH 72.2 billion were raised to the budget through the issue of government bonds, and since the start of the full-scale invasion - more than UAH 1.7 trillion.
