Units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with other formations of the Defense Forces, struck the seaport of Olya in the Astrakhan Oblast of russia.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the headquarters, the port is a key logistics hub for the supply of military cargo from Iran. During the operation, the ship "Port Olya 4", loaded with components for Shahed drones and ammunition, was hit. The consequences of the attack are being clarified.
The General Staff emphasized that the Defense Forces continue to purposefully reduce the military potential of the russian federation in order to force it to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine.
We will remind, on the night of August 15, in the russian city of Syzran, Samara Oblast, according to social networks, an attack by drones on an oil refinery was carried out. Telegram channels and the russian BBC service published a video that allegedly shows explosions and fires in the area of the refinery, which was also reported by local residents.
