Kyiv residents whose homes were damaged by shelling have received almost UAH 70 million in aid since year beginning – Kyiv City State Administration

In just 7 months of this year, about 7,000 Kyiv residents whose homes were damaged by shelling received assistance worth almost UAH 70 million. This is reported on the Kyiv City State Administration website.

"Since the beginning of 2025, 6,687 Kyiv residents whose homes were damaged by shelling have received assistance worth a total of UAH 66.87 million. If we compare 2023 and 2024 with the unfinished 2025, then this year we paid twice as much as in the last 2 years. This speaks of the number of destroyed housing and the scale of the need," said Maryna Khonda, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Vitali Klitschko.

In particular, in 2025, the following types of material assistance are provided: UAH 10,000 - one-time, already received by more than 6,000 people (almost UAH 67 million); UAH 20,000 - monthly, for a period of up to 12 months, assigned to 248 residents of the capital; UAH 40,000 - for payment of housing rent, paid to 468 families (over UAH 18 million).

The right to receive assistance is granted to owners of housing damaged or destroyed after February 24, 2022, which at the time of application has not been restored, provided that there is no other housing in Kyiv and no state compensation has been provided.

Applications for monetary compensation in the amount of UAH 20,000 are submitted through the Centers for the Provision of Administrative Services of the city of Kyiv. Applications for payment of UAH 10,000 and UAH 40,000 are accepted by district state administrations. The Department of Social and Veteran Policy of the Kyiv City State Administration, together with the District State Administrations, ensures the prompt consideration of applications and the timely provision of material assistance to affected residents of the capital.
