The last shop in Pokrovsk closed, 1,327 people remain in city - head of administration Dobriak

In the front-line Pokrovsk of the Donetsk Region, which is under constant shelling, 1,327 people still live, the last shop in the city closed last week. This was reported by the head of the Pokrovsk City Military Administration, Serhii Dobriak, on the air of a telethon.

It is reported that after the closure of the last shop, the military is helping residents with provisions. Also, last week, the occupiers destroyed a water distribution point by shelling. The townspeople have access to water from wells, of which there are over 300 in the city.

"Today, there are a little more than 1,320 people in the city of Pokrovsk. To be more precise, 1,327. There are still 2,220 people left in the community," he said.

It is noted that it is currently impossible to enter the city. The enemy is firing at everything that moves, so people are walking to the evacuation vehicles outside the city from most districts of Pokrovsk.

"We have an evacuation order, but today people have to walk outside the city, to one place in the community. There they are picked up in the morning and taken to Pavlohrad. But, unfortunately, the evacuation and entry into the city in general has worsened and is almost, almost as difficult," Dobriak said.

He also added that the number of spontaneous burials has increased in Pokrovsk. People are being buried right next to their houses.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, currently in the Pokrovsk and Dobropillia Axes, a group of the army of the aggressor country of russia, numbering over 110,000 people, is concentrated.

On August 11, the DeepState analytical project updated its interactive map, marking the advance of the russian army near three settlements in the Donetsk Region. In the Dobropillia area, analysts have marked a 10-kilometer advance of the occupiers.
