The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha responded to the report that the russian dictator vladimir putin had conveyed to the administration of the American President a demand to transfer two regions of Ukraine to russia in exchange for ending the war.
The Foreign Minister stated that the aggressor country should not be rewarded for starting a war against our country.
On the social network X, he wrote that Ukraine deserves a lasting and just peace, which will be based on respect for territorial integrity and borders. Sybiha emphasized that russia continues to terrorize Ukrainians, ignores the deadlines set by the US President and does not show a genuine interest in ending the war.
"Ukraine remains open to constructive dialogue and real solutions agreed upon together with Ukraine, with respect for the will of our people," the minister said.
He added that our country is ready to cooperate with the United States and all international partners to achieve peace.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this morning, August 9, that Ukrainians will not give up a single piece of their native land to the occupier.
